SUSPICIOUS SCHOOL FIRE
A popular Brampton public school was destroyed by fire, and the investigators from 22 Division are seeking the public’s assistance in providing information that may lead them to the persons responsible for this crime.
On Thursday July 4, 2008 at around 4:40 in the afternoon, Brampton Fire Services and Peel Regional Police responded to a fire at the Peel Adventist School on McMurchy Avenue, south of Queen Street. The school was fully engulfed in flames, resulting in the damage being estimated at over 1.5 million dollars.
Investigators believe that the fire may have started in a garbage bin at the rear of the school, however that cannot be confirmed. As a result of this devastating fire, many local students will be forced to attend another institution for education purposes.
The officers investigating this crime are urging members of the public to call Crime Stoppers if you have any information on who may be either directly or indirectly involved in the fire.

GAS STATION ROBBERY
A late night robbery at a Brampton gas station has the investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau urging the public to call Crime Stoppers to help nab the thieves.
On Thursday July 19, 2008 at 11:35 in the evening, three suspects entered the Esso gas station at 620 Peter Robertson Boulevard. While one suspect was paying for some items, the two other suspects approached the clerk and made a demand to open the cash register. One of the men indicated that he was in possession of a gun in his waistband.
The clerk placed the cash register on the counter, and the suspects helped themselves to a small quantity of money. It is believed that prior to the robbery, the three suspects appeared to be associated to a newer model black Mitsubishi Lancer.

VIOLENT THIEVES CAUGHT ON TAPE
Mississauga
Two thieves who robbed the clerk of a Mississauga store had their pictures captured on a surveillance camera, and the investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau are asking the public to call Crime Stoppers to identify the men.
On Thursday July 17, 2008 at 6:00 in the evening, 2 men entered the SN TRADERS store on Eglington Avenue, just west of Dixie Road. One of the men produced a black handgun and ordered the clerk to hand over money and cell phones. The clerk was also taken to a back room and tied up.
The two suspects filled plastics bags with a quantity of LG Tilt phones and Blackberry phones. They fled the store and got into what is believed to be a silver 4 – door vehicle. Photographs of the two suspects are below. It is believed that both men had accents to indicate that they may be of Middle East decent.

ARREST WARRANT ISSUED IN MURDER CASE
Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in relation to the murder of Orrin Marlon EARLE.
At approximately 11:50 pm, on Monday, June 30th, 2008, officers responded to a report of shots fired in an apartment located at 7170 Darcel Avenue in the Malton area of Mississauga. Officers located a 28 year-old male victim, Orrin Marlon Earle of Mississauga, suffering from obvious signs of trauma and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau have conducted further investigation into this murder. As a result, an Arrest Warrant for Obstruct Police and a number of Firearm Related Offences has been issued for Junior Mark Anthony BENNETT, a 24 year old male of no fixed address. Bennett has a street name of “Blacks”. A photograph of BENNETT is below.

THREE YOUTHS SHOT
Three young men were shot while sitting on a curb, and your anonymous call to Crime Stoppers will assist the investigators from 12 Division in finding the shooter.
At around 9:00 pm on Sunday June 29, 2008, the three victims attended a senior’s home on Bough Beeches Boulevard in Mississauga. They were there for the purpose of assisting a relative with moving some items.
As they sat on the curb outside of the residence, having a conversation with a girl, a lone suspect walked up the driveway and approached the young men. The suspect began to fire shots at the victims, who immediately ran for safety. The suspect ran across Bough Beeches Blvd. and was seen getting into a sub-compact black SUV with tinted windows.
None of the three young men were struck by the gunfire.
The shooter has been described as male, black, slim build and slim face, with braided hair. He was wearing a white t–shirt, a blue baseball hat and dark, loose-fitting jeans.

GUNPOINT ROBBERY AT CONVENIENCE STORE
A Brampton store clerk was robbed at gunpoint, and your anonymous call to Crime Stoppers can assist the police in identifying all three suspects.
Just before 5:00 on the morning of Wednesday July 9, 2008, three suspects entered the Rabba Food Store, adjacent to the Bramalea City Center. The clerk was ordered to empty the contents of the cash register, while having a handgun directed towards his lower body. The victim was assaulted by one of the suspects, who then loaded a quantity of cigars and cigarettes into a garbage bag. A third suspect stood watch at the front door of the store.
Stolen from the store was a quantity of cash, cigarettes, Blunt Cigars, and cans of Red Bull.

YOUNG MAN SHOT DEAD AT A BRAMPTON HOUSE PARTY
An early Canada Day celebration turned tragic for a 31 year–old Brampton man, and the investigators from the Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau are urging anyone who may have witnessed the murder to make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers.
On Monday June 30, 2008, a large party took place at a residence on Woodsend Run in Brampton. Just after 11:00 in the evening, the victim was fatally shot near the front door of the house, while hundreds of other party–goers were close by, including many small children. A 37 year–old Toronto man was also shot, and he was transported to hospital with non–life threatening injuries.
Investigators are encouraging those who were in attendance at the party, believed to be in the range of 300 people, to call Crime Stoppers with any information they may have, that can shed some light on the circumstances of this shooting. SUSPECT CAUGHT DURING BREAK-IN
A man in the middle of breaking into a Mississauga home was interrupted by a citizen, and the investigators from 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are asking the public to call Crime Stoppers to help identify this suspect. On the evening of May 30, 2008, the suspect was interrupted while committing a break and enter at an Ormindale Way residence. He was seen running from the residence, and entering a silver vehicle, possibly a Honda. Approximately $20,000 worth of jewellery and electronics were stolen from the victim’s residence.
Police have prepared a composite picture of the suspect.
He is described as male white, between 20 and 30 years old, 6 feet, thin build, short spiked hair, with facial acne.

A disc jockey was robbed after leaving a Brampton Night Club, and your anonymous call to Crime Stoppers can help the Central Robbery Bureau solve this crime.
During the early morning hours of Sunday May 11, 2008, the victim left the Border Line Night Club on Automatic Road. While in the parking lot, he was accosted by a group of six males, three of them armed with hand guns.
One of the suspects struck the victim in the head and face with the gun, and the victim was relieved of a quantity of cash and personal items. It is believed that all suspects left the area in a silver Honda Accord and a green Chrysler Intrepid.

MISSISSAUGA MAN SHOT
A 24 year old Mississauga man was shot at the front door of his townhouse, and the investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are urging the public to call Crime Stoppers to help identify the suspects.
Shortly before midnight on Thursday May 22, 2008, the victim was at his residence on Williamsport Drive, that’s in the Bloor Street and Fieldgate Drive area. He became involved in a verbal altercation with a man and a woman. For reasons yet to be determined, the victim received two gunshot wounds, most likely from a shotgun. The shooting caused serious damage to his abdomen and right elbow. The suspects immediately fled the residence.
The shooter is described as male, black in his early twenties, with hair in braids. The second suspect is described as female, white in her early twenties with a heavy build.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY AT GAS STATION
A would–be robber left a Mississauga gas station empty handed, and investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are hoping the public can help identify the man.
On Friday April 4, 2008 just before 11:00 in the evening, a male entered the Shell Gas Station on Winston Churchill Boulevard, just south of Eglinton Avenue. He approached the front counter and asked the clerk for some cigarettes. While paying for the items, the suspect demanded cash from the clerk, gesturing that he had a gun. The clerk was hesitant in providing the suspect with any money, and he eventually left the store taking his cigarettes with him, but without any money from the till.
The suspect is described as male, white, in his mid thirties, light brown hair and clean shaven. He wore a ¾ length black jacket with a collar, a beige collared shirt, dark pants and dress shoes.

CASH STOLEN IN DELI BREAK-IN
A Mississauga Meat and Deli Shop was broken into over the weekend, and the investigators from the 12 Division Break and Enter Unit are asking the public to call Crime Stoppers to help lead them to the thieves. During the early morning hours of Sunday April 13, 2008, suspects entered Eddie’s Meat and Deli on Dundas Street East through a rear door. They accessed the office area of the shop, and removed a large quantity of cash, in both Canadian and American currencies, from the safe. The suspects most likely left the premise through the same rear door. The investigation has revealed that the break–in occurred within a very short period of time, between 5:38 a.m. and 6:08 a.m. on that Sunday morning. Anyone who may have been in the area of the shop, or the nearby industrial strip plazas, is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers and allow your anonymous tip to assist in solving this crime.

KNIFE–POINT ROBBERY FOILED
Although a knife–wielding bandit was unsuccessful in his attempt to rob a store clerk, Crime Stoppers is encouraging the public to make an anonymous call to help the investigators identify the suspect.
On Friday April 11th just before 11:00 in the evening, the lone male suspect approached the clerk at the Adult Video Store on Queen Street. He pulled out a knife and demanded that the clerk turn over the cash from the register. The clerk refused to open the till, so the suspect tried to do it himself. He was unsuccessful in opening the till, and left the store immediately.
The suspect has been described as male, white, 5’ 10” tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark coloured winter parka with fur around the collar. UNIQUE POWER TOOLS STOLEN DURING BREAK-IN
A large quantity of power tools, unique to the building industry, were stolen during a break–in at a Mississauga company, and the investigators from Peel Regional Police 12 Division are hoping your call to Crime Stoppers can help recover these tools.
Sometime between Friday March 14th at 5:15 pm and Monday March 17th at 8:00 am, suspects broke in to the FEIN Canadian Tool Company on Traders Boulevard. A large quantity of power tools was stolen and the investigation has revealed that the suspects removed the items through the rear shipping door, using some kind of larger vehicle.
The tools stolen are not for general sale in building supply stores in Ontario. They are predominantly orange in colour, and will have the distinct FEIN logo on them. The types of tools stolen during this break–in include power drills, saws, grinders, screwdrivers and metal cutters.
The public is reminded that if you are in possession of these unique tools that are not sold in a retail market, they may be the tools stolen in this crime, and you could face criminal prosecution.
